User Reviews
Am so grateful with this profitable and reliable platform called Upbit-trade investment company this company has been paying for a while up till now, the company has no issue and I don't know why people said that the company is a scam company all because they refused to pay their task so that the company will activate their accounts that's how they all lose their hope on this profitable and ongoing platform
I have been using UPBIT for 1 year and the experience is pretty good. T+0 withdrawal is convenient and simple. You can indeed make money, but it is impossible to get rich overnight
No problem with this exchange. Almost instant deposit and withdrawals for fiat and crypto assets. Thats the most important for any real traders. Platform wise, take a while to get used to. Only minus is the number of coins/token pairs are still less compared to the competitor whose name is not worth mentioning. Want to give 3.5 star. Hope the company can work on the weakness and improve on their strengths. Will revisit here and revise the review should the need arises.
Top Alternatives

Top pick for security-conscious traders with an unmatched compliance record.

Solid choice for European traders wanting a regulated platform with good fiat access.

Unbeatable for altcoin hunters. Lower trust scores keep it from the top tier.

The safest entry point into crypto. High fees mean active traders should look elsewhere.

Decent for niche altcoin traders. Lacks the liquidity and brand trust of larger rivals.

Best for early-stage token hunters. Higher fees and complexity limit broader appeal.
UpBit Review
UpBit stands as one of South Korea's most prominent cryptocurrency exchanges, having established itself as a dominant force in the Korean digital asset market since its founding in 2017. Operating under strict regulatory oversight from Korea's Financial Services Commission, this platform has built a reputation for reliability and security within the Korean cryptocurrency ecosystem. The exchange primarily serves Korean traders with its extensive Korean won trading pairs, though it has garnered international attention due to its significant trading volumes and regulatory compliance standards.
This comprehensive UpBit exchange review examines the platform's key features, pricing structure, user experience, and overall value proposition for cryptocurrency traders. We'll analyze the exchange's strengths and limitations, covering everything from its fee structure to mobile applications, providing potential users with the information needed to determine whether this platform aligns with their trading needs. The review considers both the exchange's domestic market position and its relevance for international cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
When conducting any UpBit crypto exchange review, it's essential to understand the platform's target audience and market positioning. The exchange primarily caters to Korean cryptocurrency traders seeking a regulated, secure platform for digital asset transactions. While international users can access certain features, the platform's design and functionality strongly favor Korean speakers and those comfortable with KRW trading pairs. Beginners appreciate the clean, intuitive interface, while experienced traders value the platform's deep liquidity and competitive pricing structure.
The UpBit exchange has grown to become one of Korea's largest cryptocurrency trading platforms, supporting over 180 digital assets and serving millions of registered users. The platform processes billions of dollars in daily trading volume, particularly in Korean won pairs, making it a significant player in the global cryptocurrency market. Despite its regional focus, the exchange's market capitalization and trading volumes consistently rank it among the world's top cryptocurrency exchanges, demonstrating its substantial influence within the broader digital asset ecosystem.
This UpBit cryptocurrency exchange overview reveals a platform focused on spot trading excellence rather than diverse product offerings. The exchange specializes in straightforward buy and sell transactions across its extensive cryptocurrency selection, emphasizing security and regulatory compliance over complex trading instruments. Key features include real-time price charts, order book depth visualization, multiple order types including market and limit orders, and comprehensive account security measures including two-factor authentication and cold storage for user funds.
UpBit fees represent one of the platform's most competitive advantages, with spot trading fees set at just 0.05% for both makers and takers across all trading pairs. This uniform fee structure applies regardless of trading volume or account status, making it particularly attractive for frequent traders. Withdrawal fees vary by cryptocurrency, generally aligning with network costs rather than imposing excessive premiums. The exchange doesn't offer fee discounts through native tokens or volume-based tiers, maintaining its simple, transparent pricing approach that many users find refreshing compared to more complex fee structures elsewhere.
Unlike many major cryptocurrency exchanges, UpBit futures trading is notably absent from the platform's offerings. The exchange has deliberately focused on spot trading, avoiding the derivatives market that many competitors emphasize. This means users cannot access leveraged trading, perpetual contracts, or futures positions through UpBit. While this limitation may disappoint traders seeking advanced instruments, it aligns with the platform's conservative, regulation-first approach and reduces complexity for casual cryptocurrency investors who prefer straightforward spot transactions.
The UpBit app provides a streamlined mobile trading experience that mirrors the web platform's clean design philosophy. Available for both iOS and Android devices, the application maintains a 4.4-star average rating across app stores, reflecting user satisfaction with its functionality and reliability. The mobile interface includes all essential trading features, real-time price monitoring, portfolio tracking, and secure account management tools. Korean users particularly praise the app's intuitive navigation and responsive customer support integration.
Users interested in mobile trading can easily UpBit download the official application through their device's respective app store. The iOS version requires iOS 12.0 or later, while the Android version supports devices running Android 6.0 and above. New users can complete account registration directly through the mobile app, though full verification may require additional documentation depending on regional requirements. The download process includes standard app permissions for notifications, camera access for document verification, and secure authentication features. Getting started involves creating an account, completing identity verification, and funding the account through supported payment methods, primarily Korean banking systems for KRW deposits.
